Essentially, I calendar 5am to 6am as my P90X3 workout time EVERY DAY because by the time you've done Cold Start and paused at necessary points during the main workout (sometimes longer than the sanctioned rest breaks), it's 50 minutes to an hour all in.įinal point: Tony Horton left ARX3 out of Blocks 1 to 3 of the programme because the core gets hit all through the week, e.g. Even Amoila Caesar swears by this mantra in Beachbody's all new 645 workout programme, where essentially the first 12-15 minutes are all about the warm up. In addition, I recommend the 12-minute Cold Start routine before all workouts on top of those opening warm-ups (except Yoga, Dynamix, Isometrix and Pilates) because I have found that it makes a HUGE difference to the quality if my performance during the main workout. I do not do ARX3 with Pilates or Isometrics because those workouts are all about core fitness. That also means my Yoga day then starts and finishes with Child's Pose, if you like cyclical structure. Both of those workouts are not only less intense than the rest of the week - so you are not trashed before you even start (as I go full-throttle in the main workouts) - but they also function as a long warm up in their own right to the ARX3 event. Despite this being part of the Elite block, I do ARX3 twice per week: first, straight after X3 Yoga and, second, straight after Dynamix.
